Open and Spacious: A 2017 Kitchen Remodel in Gainesville, GA - An Open, Connected Kitchen Made for Modern Living

The way we live has changed, and our kitchens have opened up to match. This 2017 remodel embraces that shift beautifully, creating an open and spacious kitchen that flows naturally into the heart of the home. By opening up the layout and improving the connection between spaces, the design makes the kitchen feel larger, brighter, and more welcoming, perfect for the way families really gather and live today.

As a custom design and remodeling firm serving Gainesville and the greater North Georgia region since 1999, Tracy Tesmer Design and Remodeling believes your kitchen is the heart of your home. A full remodel can breathe new life into your cooking space, and this Open and Spacious project shows how an open layout can transform not just a kitchen, but the way an entire home feels.

Open Flow That Connects the Home

The defining feature of this kitchen is its openness. A thoughtfully opened layout removes barriers and improves sight-lines, letting the kitchen connect seamlessly with the surrounding living spaces. Warm, natural color tones carry that openness through with a soft, welcoming feel, so the space feels expansive and inviting rather than closed off or cramped.

Sleek, Modern Features Throughout

An open kitchen deserves features that keep it feeling cohesive and current. Throughout the space, we added sleek, modern fixtures, considered lighting, and refined finishes that bring a polished, contemporary edge. Every element was chosen to complement the open layout, adding style and function while keeping the whole space feeling connected and unified.

Designed for Connected, Everyday Living

An open kitchen is all about how it lives, and this one was planned with connection in mind. Every layout, storage, and workflow decision was made to support easy movement and interaction, so you can cook, gather, and entertain without ever feeling separated from the people around you. The result is a kitchen that keeps everyone together and everyday life flowing smoothly.

Full-Service Design-Build Craftsmanship

As a design-build remodeler, we manage the entire process under one roof, from the first design concept to the final finishing detail. That means a smoother experience, clearer communication, and a finished kitchen that stays true to the vision we create together. For more than two decades, North Georgia homeowners have trusted us to deliver custom results with quality and care they can rely on.
