You have been thinking about remodeling your bathroom for a while now, have saved all your pennies, and have the number of a reputable bathroom remodeler. Before you dial, however, there are some serious questions you should ask yourself before undertaking your bathroom project.

What to Ask Before a Bathroom Remodel

Undertaking any home project is a serious matter, especially if it involves remodel or renovation. A key area of your home is the bathroom, as we tend to spend a decent amount of time in it. On top of that, a good bathroom remodel can increase the value of your home, while a bad one can – well, be a poor investment to say the least.

Because of that, it is crucial for homeowners – be they from Gwinnett County, Gainesville, North Georgia, or anywhere across the United States – to put their thinking caps on and ask some well thought out questions before calling a bathroom remodeler.

What is My Bathroom Remodeling Budget

Before you make any preparations for your bathroom remodel or renovation, the absolute first question you should ask yourself is this: what is my bathroom remodeling budget? The answer to this vital question will help you frame out the entire project. When figuring out what your budget is, try to be realistic. Make a list of “must-have” and “wants” and prioritize the essentials.

This question is more important than you might initially think. Sure, your everyday family members will be using the bathroom, but how about friends and extended family? Do any of these people have accessibility or mobility issues? Are any family members or friends that might use the restroom more advanced in age – or are you, yourself – and may need a more accessible bathroom in the near future? If so, you will want to seek out a specialist in age-in-place bathroom design or universal bathroom design.
