2022 brought new and continuing challenges to the remodeling world. Supply chain issues, a skilled labor shortage and ongoing high demand all combined to make planning more important than ever. Here is how to prepare for a smooth remodel.

1. Define Your Scope

Decide exactly what you want to remodel. If you have several projects in mind, prioritize them. It may make sense to do everything at once or to phase the work. Either way, a clear scope helps when you meet with and compare contractors.

2. Set a Budget With a Cushion
